No Place For Magic | E.D. Baker
Siobhan's Book Rating (out of 5): 2 stars

No Place For Magic by E.D. Baker

September 2008No Place For Magic is the fourth book in the tales of The Frog Princess (The Frog Princess, Dragon's Breath, Once Upon a Curse) by E.D. Baker so I won't bore you with basic character profiles this time.

Princess Emma, now an all-powerful witch, is ready to make the long journey to Upper Montivista. She and Eadric are getting married... finally!! They had to leave quickly or else they would have to bring half the court everywhere like Emma's mother did. So they set off.

When Emma and Eadric entered Eadric's parents' castle, they were told with extreme alarm that Eadric's brother Bradston had been kidnapped. Even though Bradston was unbelievably irritating, Eadric would not rest until he was safely found.

The two lovebirds set out on their new adventure to Troll Mountain – Emma had summoned the powers of her magic to see Bradston there. I must warn you that trolls smell like rotten eggs and are almost as ugly as the Grand High Witch had been. Nobody ever comes back from Troll Mountain but there is hope here since the main characters in children's books rarely die.

Like most books that I have read and recommended, this is a five star because of its endless funnies. You know the third book, Once Upon a Curse? Forget about 'third is a charm'... This fourth book is way better!
