The End | Lemony Snicket

 February 2007 – Do you see those stars? There are NONE (!!) and you really don't want to read this book – it's unexciting! But I know that you are going to anyway because you like these sorts of stories. It's the thirteenth book, The End, from A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. It's about three orphans who travel to an island and meet 'Ishamel' who tries to protect them from Count Olaf. The island has a mystery illness called Medusoid Mycelium – it could kill everybody so I suggest that you stop reading here...
So... you want to keep going... Don't say I haven't warned you!
The characters in the story are Violet, Klaus, Sunny, and Count Olaf (who thinks he's king of Olaf-land). Violet is an amazing inventor who can create almost anything she thinks of. She is very creative but a serious 14-year-old. She has black hair, green flashing eyes, and a racketing brain – she is my favourite character.
Klaus. Klaus, the only Baudalaire boy, is a researcher who reads everything he lays his fingers on. He has black hair, glasses, and he is very protective of his sisters.
Sunny. Sunny is a biter. She has laser-sharp teeth, hardly any hair, and a gift for cooking. Cooking? Even though she is only a toddler, she is a wonderful little chef!
Count Olaf. Count Olaf, the Series' villain, is in his latest disguise as Kit Snicket. He has filthy hands and two shiny eyes for the Baudalaire orphans wherever they go. He is a destructive character but important to the story – if it were not for him, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny would actually be 'happy'!
"We can't die here," Violet said, her voice so feeble her siblings could scarcely hear her. "Our parents saved our lives in this very room, many years ago, without even knowing it."
"Maybe not," Klaus said. "Maybe this is the end of our story."
I find this book to be one of my favourites. I love mysteries! You should read this dreadful story because you will be inspired.
