Located in Markham for over 40 years, Camp Robin Hood has been the day camp of choice for many families in the Greater Toronto Area.  Providing door-to-door transportation to our private 50 acre country setting, getting your child to camp could not be simpler.

Our Mission Statement
• Camp Robin Hood is a multi-cultural, inclusive day camp in a country setting;
• We instil respect for self, others and the environment;
• Our creative traditional programming enables campers and staff to develop life-long skills  from shared experiences;
• We provide campers and staff with a healthy, active experience in a safe, nurturing environment;
• Ultimately, this positive social experience creates a sense of belonging while having fun and making memories for everyone.

Our Difference
In choosing Robin Hood for your child’s summer experience, we are confident that you will discover a camp that is dedicated to making all aspects of your family’s experience positive. We work throughout the year to communicate effectively with our families, to develop the most efficient bus routes for our campers, to hire the best staff possible and to plan programs that will make your child’s summer the most memorable ever.

Our Staff
The experience gained by our campers is made possible by the quality of our staff. Many of our counsellors have grown up as campers at Robin Hood and have continued on as camp leaders. We are very proud that 60-70% of our staff return each year. All of our staff are well trained and develop the skills necessary to be wonderful role models for your child.

Programs
CAMP ROBIN HOOD
The Camp Robin Hood program allows campers to experience a wide variety of activities during their stay at camp. Under the supervision of 2 well-trained counsellors, campers will participate in both cabin and specialty activities. During specialty activities, campers will be instructed by expert staff who have planned unique programs that enhance the camp experience. In addition to our daily program which includes twice daily swim instruction, campers may also participate in some of our optional programs such as “Extended Days” (SK & Gr. 1), overnights (Gr. 2-7) or 3 day trips (Gr. 4-7) to Camp Walden, our overnight camp.

CIT PROGRAM
Our experience indicates that a truly effective Leadership Training Program strives to develop knowledge and skills through the presentation of theory and the involvement of hands-on learning. Participation in regularly scheduled placements in a variety of areas at camp plays an important role as well. We believe that our LITs (14 year olds) and our CITs (15 year olds) need to understand age characteristics, age appropriate activities, behaviour management techniques and motivational approaches to be successful. A mandatory 3 day retreat early in the summer, allow us to reach our program objectives.
